mrhookup Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Quick trip out of Port Sheldon last night, got stuck at the ramp trying to launch as someone on the beach had a seizure and the sheriff boats were using 3 of the slips. Hopefully everyone is all right. Put lines down at 7pm in 80ft just south of the pier heads and worked west out to 110 with nothing. Decided to turn back in to try the 60-70ft range based off a report from Grand Haven from a friend in the morning. Had out first hit around 8:15 as the sun set on a green splatter back ace high on a mono dipsey set on 3 out 150ft...25lb king that split one of the treble hooks. Got reset and hit another big one on a 10in blue bubble spinnie with blue bubble fly down 60ft on a rigger. This one unfortunately got tangle in another line and broke off. Action slowed after that.
