littleboat Posted August 28, 2013 Share Posted August 28, 2013 Those waves were NOT 1-2 ft. Coming out of the harbor we were in 3-4 swells. Headed out to 130' nw troll @2.8 gps speed lost one on a 250 copper w/ghost jplug 20 ft from boat bringing it in. NEXT was a dipsy diver w/green meat rig 150 back setting 2, on 2.3 mph gps in 180' ...caught (1) 16.6 lbs king. The waves were 5-6 swells at that time, lucky none were capping, but the flys were terrible and my 1st mate was not pleased being eaten by the flys.
