Fishrmac Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Went 3-3 tonight. Took off out of holland on a north west heading. started marking fish consistently in 44fow down 35 so we set up. Got 3 riggers down, put out the 5 color and as I was hooking on the board a fish grabbed the 5 color. About a 7 lb coho. drove around for awhile marking fish consistently in the 50's but no other takers. On the way in hit 2 small kings in 30fow just inside the dark water. One on a free slider nuke mixed veggie and another on a 3 color incinerator orange. Best part is both my boys 6 and 4 years old got to reel in fish. HOpefully heading out again this weekend with the boys and my dad. Good luck out there!! Don't over run fish early. It is my theory they will be shallow to start the morning so don't over look it. Maybe I'm wrong, but imagine if I was right. We marked quite a few pockets of fish on the north side of the pier heads in 30-35fow.
