buster107 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I need a cooler for salmon fishing !! I looked at a Yeti but $799 is way to much!!' Somewhere in the 150 to 200 mark for me! I could strap it down on my swim platform !!
highpointdf Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I saw one at Cabelas. I believe it was an Igloo, but it was nicer than the standard one. It actually had spots for tie downs. Looked pretty nice, I think it was right in that price range to.
sslopok Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 If you are on a budget get a coleman extreme. I saw the big ones for 70 at wally world. I have one and it works well and keeps ice for 4 days or so. It also has spots for bungees.
LifesToo Short Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Igloo has a nice cooler. The marine ultra glide. It is a 110 quart has a extendable handle and wheels. Got one at menards for $99. Worth the money
Priority1 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 A Wally World cooler for way under a Benjamin will last over 10 yrs if taken care of and will hold ice well. I drilled some holes in my handle brackets for bungee hooks.

pg1725 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 The Igloo Marine series is a nice cooler and the price is right at Costco (also sounds like Sam's as well). I know West marine carries them and one with wheels but not as attractive a price and the others mentioned.
SUPERTRAMP Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 I need a cooler for salmon fishing !! I looked at a Yeti but $799 is way to much!!' Somewhere in the 150 to 200 mark for me! I could strap it down on my swim platform !!I priced the Yeti Cooler and I can surely say I will never spend more for a cooler than I will for a Downrigger.Or a refrigerator for the boat.
bfr Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 and if you ever intend to take the cooler off/on the boat, the Yeti's are like moving a safe...heavy, heavy, heavy.Igloo all the way

N II Deep Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Here is the cooler I picked up this spring. works great, I like the handles that are molded in and not hinges. the last Igloo I had from Wally world the handles pulled right out.http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?CatName=Coolers&SubcatId=MarineCoolers&Prod_ID=RP091227&Redirect=1
