Ludington Advice/Reports Welcome

Well, we will be heading up to Ludington on Sunday afternoon and hope to fish sunday night and monday morning. If you guys get out this week or weekend I would appreciate any info or tips you can share. Thanks in advance.

All i know is we fished ludington the afternoon of the 26th and the water was freezing at big sable point. We did not take any fish up there so we ran back and fished in front of the harbor. We marked lots of bait there and have heard reports of some nice kings being caught around the harbor due to the warmer water there. All we hooked up with at the harbor that night was lots of small one year old salmon. The wind is supposed to blow southwest next three days. That should warm the water some. Most charter captains have been running to the southwest to catch mature kings. Good luck out there.

Nick, a good report is had at fish-ludington.com, click on fishing report. Also Capt. Chuck's website. Some southerly fishing was good earlier, GPS middle #54's & 35's was good, but the way the wind and weather changes right now, it's dicey for anything consistent.
