Tried to show my mother what fishing the bay is like. Didn't want to run far so we tried a couple places we hammered fish a few weeks ago. With my wife, daughter, my mother, and I, went straight out to 33 ft of water. Fished for four solid hours in heat and bugs and caught two barely legal fish and two throwbacks. Tried a bunch of different things all with BB and meat, to no avail. Don't know if I had gasoline on my fingers or what, but couldn't get em to bite. Needless to say no one in my crew is jumping up to go out today. Will be making a longer run today, might be the last trip for the year.

Kevin, Thanks for the report. We fished today and struggled a bit. Made 5 different stops and set lines in three of them before we got on some active fish. Hang in there man. The fish don't mind a lil gas or oil smell. Aftershave and sun tan crap is a different story.
