cabelasfreak Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Just a shout out to anyone willing to help us out. My three boys (15,12 and 8) and my wife are heading to Augres to visit with my dad/mom (76/88) this weekend. He and my mom have put their place up for sale and are moving closer to family. We hope to head out after some walleyes Friday evening and Saturday morning. Anybody willing to give me some clear direction to a honey-hole? How is the bite in the afternoon/evening? Lure/bait suggestions? My wife has never been walleye fishing so I am hoping to "hook" her. Thanks in advance for any help.

Chummer Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Check the marine forecast, it does not look good for you. Be Safe!
cabelasfreak Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 definitely will be watching the weather....
Tyee Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Forecast doesn't look good for Friday. I wish I could give you a honey hole that's a short run. Struck out yesterday fishing closer to AuGres between the points where we caught fish in June (32 - 33 ft of water) because I had family on board for a quick trip. Some of the other guys may attest to it, but seems like the fish have headed further out requiring long runs to the fish. Good luck, be safe!
