numberguy77
Took a good friend out last night that doesn't get to fish too much with hopes of finding a salmon for him.Set up in 80fow headed west. Had a fish hit a Kervorkian spoon on an SWR rig in 98 fow with the rigger parked at 60' down. My buddy battled that fish for 5 minutes or more with the fishing surfacing and jumping several times. Seemed like a bigger steelie. Got the fish about 20' away from the boat, almost within net range, and it's like the fish said "Ok, you want your spoon back...? Spit...here it is!" Bummed about that one.Had a release in 102 fow on a blueberry muffin free slider. That rigger was parked at 50' down. Nobody home. Then, right after dusk in 78 fow, had a hit on a shelly snack glow spoon on an SWR rig 50' down. My buddy fought and landed and nice, chubby, 11# King. So, 1 for 3. Beautiful night out there last night. Flies weren't bad, and sea fleas weren't too bad either.
