Dv8oR Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I bought my Jet Boat in 1988 to fish the very shallow Tittabawassee River. Obviouslly one of the advantages to using the jet, is going safely across very shallow waters. But to do so, you have to be on plane. And I soon found out that going fast in this shallow water, was not very popular with the guys in regular boats that could not go fast. One guy who later caught up to me after I passed him (always at a safe distance) asked me if I had some Express mail I had to deliver. Thus Walleye Express was born. I have also recieved some other verbal ideas/suggestions from others who I've passed, but prefer not to put those supluratives on the side of any of my boats. Thats Sweet!! I'd a been like.... "Uh, Uh.... The wife just went into labor"!!! hehehehe... T
Kara_B_N Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 I wanted to name the boat (22 ft Islander) after my daughter Kara but wanted something catchy. So we chose to call her the Kara_B_N and I often refer to myself and my crew as Pirates.Ron

tbromund Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 The Boat Name is FishStyx. There is a conceptual graphic to go along with it if I ever get around to paying someone with some modicum of artistic talent to airbrush it on for me. Picture a viking longboat, the grim reaper up in the bow, a skeleton/demon poleing the boat down the river Styx and two guys fishing out the back on their way to Purgatory.Tim
Billy V Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Longline, I JUST saw your response....pretty funny! I'm still undecided about what to do for a name....
IRISH56 Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 The "IRISH56" screen name is pretty boring, had to come up with a NET ID here at work and it was the only thing I could come up with for a screen name on other sites on short notice. "IRISH" is my lineage and "56" was my shield # at the time. Boat name is "Murphy's Law" - "Murphy" ... well I'm sure you can figure it out due to the above lineage reference, "Law" ... I'm a cop. If anything can go wrong on the boat it normally does just in the nick of time i.e "Murphy's Law." DAN
LongLine Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Hey Billy - How about combining your favorite past-times. Something like "The Downhill Angler"“Salmon Angulation†(I like this one)“Salmon Schusserâ€â€œTucking Trout†or “Tuck-N-Troutâ€â€œThe Freestyle Fishermanâ€â€œSlalom Salmon"“Chatter Charters†IRISH56 - Be gratefull you haven't run into "O'toole's Corrollary". O'toole was the guy that said Murphy was a freek'n optimist.
muskybob Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 My friends started calling me muskybob because I used to fish primarily for Tiger Musky & I'd take a friend fishing with me whenever I went. We caught over 270 of them in 3 seasons. My boat's just a little 16 footer and is named Li'l Chet after my departed Mom & Dad. (Lillie & Chester) Wish I had one more day with them. We always fished together.
monkeypuke Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Great subject,my first boat i named after my dads boat, the red eye. My second boat i named after my wife, and my 3rd boat is the Mary C II. Treat your boat like she's a lady:eek: My screen name, well i didn't think of anything better, and monkeypuke is a great color choice over here in ohio for walleyes.Capt. Ray

Tim Wasn't that in Connan the Barbarian 2. When they went to the wizzards island to get the Horn of the idol?
