SUPERTRAMP Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 First trip on the new boat, Sunday, Info from my slip neighbor said 50 FOW and south lots of bait and coho were there. We Started in 45 feet, and set 4 riggers 2 dipseys, and 2color 5 color 6 color and 10 color , deep rigger had 11 inch white paddle with a blue bubble fly, other riggers set from 20 to 35' all spoons with free sliders. Best bait for the day was Fuzzy Bear, Moonglow Orange, we stayed in 50 to 60 fow, got 2 in 2 hours, 1 Coho on a 5 color and a 6# king on a 6 color same spoon, had a Steelhead hit a Limon Ice as we let it out , lost it , 2other hits and then nothing. Worked North into the 530's and at 135 got into some fish ended the day 5 for 10, Marked fish and bait in close and fro 120 to 140, nice day on the water and managed first blood on the Silverking.
SUPERTRAMP Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 Nice job Mike, bet the new boat is nice. She is sweet Ed and really nice space we had 7 on board and were not crowded at all. Too many novice anglers to make a real push at landing all the strikes . I was amazed at the speed control, no bags and just running on 1 engine we trolled from 2.2 to 2.7 on the gps with no problem, the Fish Hawk is a learning experience, and the New Humminbird 858 is a huge bonus. I would recommend the 858 cdi to anyone getting a new fish finder gps combo, the down image is kind of nice but the regular graph is awesome. Marks really well and is really visible.
hornets nest Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Nice job Mike! Glad the new boat working for ya! We were out Sat 7:00am to 11:00 am and went 5 for 5 3 kings 8-10lbs and 2 Cohos. 70-100 fow. Newer fish finders are great I love my new HDS 10 loaded with down scan and side scan works awesome.
