killerbe20 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 First full length charter of the season, 8am-1pm and finished 27 for 40 fishing the hills south of town. Orange flashers/dodgers and peanut flies on short divers, riggers and high boards. Also took a few cohos on Netminder UV Showtime Spin Doctor and UV LLB Strong Fly looking for kings 130 feet out on wire diver. Trout came on Chrome Frog Paddle and Big Weenie Chesty Puller fly working the bottom. Throw a few spoons at them with no takers. Numbers are deceiving as this was by far the toughest trip I have had all year. Never found a spot to work. Every time I found fish, turned on them and they were gone. Started in 50fow south of the reef where I had been working and impatience forced me to more after about 20 minutes and no bites. Re-set in 75fow and worked SE to 135fow. Worked the same general area all day with no real direction or depth that worked better than any other. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/1/7/5/0/img_1953.jpg' alt='img_1953.jpg'>
