JWheeler Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Busy couple of weeks coming up, so my lovely bride suggested that I get out fishing this weekend. Plans came together with FishingMachine2 and Au Gres bound Saturday morning. Woke up and check the buoys, @ 0530 it was SE @ 20knots, gusting to 22 Figured we were in for bumpy conditions. Cleared the jetties and rolled south toward the point in 2'rs. Started out around Pt Au Gres with the rest of the crowd, plenty of marks, but no takers. Finally got squeezed by 2 boats and had no room to move so we yanked gear and headed for less crowded water. Fished in shallower and worked to get 8 walleye. Stick baits and harnesses both took fish. Fished until about 1600 to get the 8 fish. With the weather predicted, I would imagine the bay is about to be certifiably red hot!
