ekbelt Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Not only does the rain help the lake levels... but if I remember correctly, like 5 years ago we had some major spring rains. This pushed tons of sediment filled water into the lakes and we had huge algae blooms because of it. The bait also showed up in huge numbers that year and the fish were right behind them.I think it could be a pretty good spring once the water warms up... at least I hope so!
fishy1 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Warns water with all the nutrients cause zooplankton production for the baitfish years we have had good rainfall help the baitfish and other species that rely on the zooplankton. The years we have had good runoff did pull bait in closer to shore in my experience.
Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I hope we have some professional raindancers out there this year, we're going to need them for these low levels.
