ChampionShip Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 On our boats we use sofscrub with bleach cause they get used daily. New floors need more grit so I use ajax and a rediculously stiff brush. If theres smokers on board or it gets really nasty i dump bleach on the wet floor wait 20 minutes then hit it with sofscrub.
Priority1 Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Dawn dish detergent and if it's real dirty a splash of bleach with it. I just wet the deck then drizzle some Dawn and scrub away with a stiff brush. My floor is vinyl but I have used this on FG decks also. I always have a small bottle of Dawn under the starboard gunnel. It's good for washing everything including greasy hands.
BILLY JOE Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Aaron since you have the system worked out i have a 27 sportcraft that needs the floor restored LOL
Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I gotta dumb question, why does anyone want wax on their fishing cockpit deck? It may look glossy, but imho, it's way too slippery and dangerous. Thanks.
Paulywood Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 The Woody's wax is made specifically for deck floors. It doesn't make it shiny it helps make it easier to keep clean.

Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I still prefer that pressure washer idea someone offered up earlier. As I get older, that deck job becomes a lot more tedious at best, and first mates don't volunteer to do it like the old days. I pw the entire boat in the spring before launching, slick and fast.
