Bought a Starcraft Islander so I could get back into fishing and try my hand at the big lakes. Looks like this site will be a wealth of info and help with questions when I have them. Got some work to do on the boat but hoping to get her ready soon.

Sweet rig Frank, mines a little older than yours but a HT too. Day I brought her home

Only got a chance to splash her 2 times last year, and that was for shakedown on re-powering it, no lines dropped. Hopefully that happens this year

Welcome aboard Darrell, plenty of guys here to share your addiction with.

Some of the most fun is setting up a new boat.

I'm sure you will get plenty of suggestions from guys here.

My biggest suggestions if you are going to get serious are

1. electric downriggers - you will learn to hate manuals if you get out often.

2. rod holder rod holders and more rod holders - you can never have enough rod holders on a boat. No matter how many you have you can always use two more.
