MY2SONS Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I run Blood Run copper on all my copper setups, and haven't had any major problems with it, but a buddy of mine told me that he suggests using Morgan's copper line because it has less memory. Anyone familiar with Morgan's? If so, does this sound right?
Killin' It Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I have run both... Like BR better... Morgans is good too... Did not notice less memory in it though.
joelsanders Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I just put 300 45#[MORGANS] on a reel and was impressed with how it went on,really nice.much better than the opti tackle stuff in my oppinion.
fishsniffer Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 i say why change if you arent having problems..ive heard a lot of different copper related debates but this is a new one on me..not to say it isnt a debate however...i havent run the morgans but i have ran howies, opti and blood run and never noticed a difference in memory
Line Dancin Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I had talked to the owner of morgans at the show a few year back it comes out of the same factory as opti copper does. Identical product different sticker. I personally like the opti/morgans. Is there a difference in memory i dont think so. I have been using it for about 8 years now. If i ever use up what i have in the basement i will probably buy the same stuff again.
jimbobber Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I like BR better, morgans tends to kink up more and is harder to get strait again ,it also seems to break eaisier after being kinked, also BR is smaller and seems to come off the reel better. Just my opinion. jimmy
joelsanders Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Sorry guys the morgans i put on was "super copper" and the opti i had was standard and it is not identical.
Nailer Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 We went all in with Blood Run a few years back. I have never noticed any memory issues.
1mainiac Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 I ran the Morgan's Super copper for years switched to Blood run it is a better product. Blood Run was also one of the first to offer large spools to the general public around here.
