Knots for wire line

What are the best knots to tie wire line with? Is there different knots for different applications? Such as, tying to the spool compareed to tying to terminal tackle? With many thanks to the members who answered my

post on wire line, I've decided to try a couple poles of it. Thanks again, your replies mean alot !!!

around the eye 2x's then a simple overhand for swivel, on the spool i use electrical tape and hope i never get spooled!

For spool attachment i use a piece of 20 lb test with a dozen or so wraps then an albright to the wire line.

This is my prefered way but I do go thru the eye of the swivel twice first. To the reel I run on about 75 yards of 30# big game and tie the wire to it with an albright knot, never have a slipping line on the reel spool and have a full spool on the reel. I run the Okuma CV30 and it works great.

Same here. Least amount of bends and stress as possible in the knot.

If you're fascinated with knot types, try logging onto Mark Sosin's website. He wrote the book on fishing knots. Don't know if he covers wire, but should, and you'll be amazed at the amount of knots he addresses. Quite informative for any fisherman.
