Paulywood Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 I'm going to leave this up until friday but right now there aren't enough people signed up to cover costs. If I don't have enough by friday I will let everyone know that it is cancelled.
Boss Hawg Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Would there be a possibility of just raising the enrty cost a couple of bucks was really looking forward to this seminar hope it works out
EdB Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I'm trying to make it, would like to meet everyone. I won't know for sure until Friday.
SCUM LINE Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 3 of us will be there if its not snowing and lowing like crazy..
Priority1 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Anyone want to ride with me from the East side Oscoda>Flint?? I'll probably ride part way with Nick if I don't get a couple of shotgun riders. I sure hope this doesn't get cancelled. It's always nice to see old friends and meet new ones. The last one we had was very nice.
Paulywood Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Would there be a possibility of just raising the enrty cost a couple of bucks was really looking forward to this seminar hope it works outTo be honest with the number of people that have signed up now I would have to double the price in order to just cover the costs. I was really hoping that this would work out but there just doesn't seem to be enough interest. I will still leave it open until friday and we will see what happens by then. I was really looking forward to it myself.Nick
N II Deep Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 I hope that enough people sign up, the seminar that was held in Hudsonville/Jension a couple years ago was great, and was a big help to me as I was just starting out. this is a great way to meet other fisherman from the site and learn a few things along the way.
1mainiac Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Nick I think you set your entry fee too low it would be better at 25.00 a head and have a small group that can really get some in depth info.
ratchet Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 nick we have a few from work that will be coming - I know of kirby , mike, kevin price, and maybe one of his buddys he fished with. I will also be there jason bowen was asking about it also. I will spred the word . See you there marty miller ( ratchet)
Long Lines Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 If it helps I have 4 more heads to add to the list...we're committed....triple checked with the bosses!
Line Dancin Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I would like to come but if i do it will be last minute. I know one weekend we have to clean out an office we are closing down but i am not sure what weekend we are going to be working yet.
targa18 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 u can put me down for the seminar and i will work on getting the word out by trying to post a thread on the tournament trail website later this afternoon. I fished on Mike harvey's boat and the guy can put alot of fish in the box and a great tournament fisherman.
targa18 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Thread about the clinic has been added to tourney trail website.
targa18 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 just posted another thread to a great lakes magazine forum. Does anyone have a contact number if people are registered users on this site? please post it and i will edit both threads.
Paulywood Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 I am going to have to cancel this, I just can't afford to lose that much money. Hope you guys understand. I just wanted to make sure everyone had enough notice to change plans. Thanks,Nick
EdB Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Nick, totally understand. Maybe we'll have to have a St Joe fishing outing. Won't have to plunk down for a hall then. We can get together at a local watering hole.
1HI4X Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Would there have been more interest if the venue was further west?
GLF Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Would there have been more interest if the venue was further west? That would probably be the case. We tried to do it in the central part of the state to draw people from both sides of the state. We also combined it as a walleye/salmon seminar.
