Line Dancin Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Just to let you guys know Grandville Gander has their fishing dept at 25% off as well as most of the store. They are doing a store wide clearance and remodel reset to try and compete with cabelas when it opens. I went in to look for ice fishing gear and there are signs everywhere. It looked like a going out of business sale. I got a great deal on 8" DW Flashers for 4.89 each (i bought them all ).
Just Hook'n Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Thanks for the heads up Aaron. Just in time for my Christmas stocking.
Line Dancin Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 Im going christmas shopping tonight after i get my check for my stocking stuffers too. I love your signature line Mark one of the best movies ever made. My wife hates it.
mriversinco Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Anyone know if the gander on 28th street in grand rapids has it too?
Line Dancin Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 Not sure I didn't ask while there.
luremaker Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 I have heard that the store on 44th street in getting out of the fishing line and going all into hunting items. Not to happy about that they have a lot of nice things out there. Hope it's not true, but if it is,there is a lot of sales coming up I bet.
coralee Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Is there enough good stuff yet to make the drive from Holland worth it or is it already picked over pretty good?
Line Dancin Posted December 15, 2012 Author Posted December 15, 2012 it just started i went tonight and picked up a bunch of stuff i needed and was waiting for the shows. It hasnt been picked through to much yet but i wouldnt wait to long.
N II Deep Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I hope they are getting ready to go out of business, I won't set foot in that store. Outdoorsmen or Lakeshore will get my dollars. Once cabeles opens it will be a great place to visit, but still local earns the support.
tom Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I buy all my stuff locally at locally owned stores. Sure you may pay a buck more for a spinnie and fly or a lure or whatever. If these stores are not supported you will find yourself driving 50 miles for a bucket of minnows. As for bigger ticket items if they are not in stock, the places I go to can order them and pretty much match prices that Cabelas offers.
