bollie27 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Took a trip on my buddy's boat, mine was getting winterized.Dressed up in ice fishing gear, we set out, hoping to alteast connect with one fish. Trolled for about 2 hours with no bites, then finally a bite! Thought at first it was a 4 yr salmon still looming around. Made a few runs then we were able to finally get a look at the fish. It was a big browmn trout. After a few tries at the back of the boat, we finally got it to the net. Big sigh of relief! The fish measured 33inches and weighed 17lbs, i wish i measured the girth cause it looked like it was going to explode. Best of all was that the fish was caught on one of my custom stickbait patterns. Will post pics tomorrow. Biggest brown I've caught and seen caught out of the Kewaunee area in a long time.
KJ pluggin Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Nice job Brian, I guess that pattern is a keeper.
Just Hook'n Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Very nice. Looking forward to the "football" pictures.
bollie27 Posted November 15, 2012 Author Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks guys for the kind words. The color pattern did really well for spring walleye and looks like I'll be painting more for browns in the spring as well. Here's the pictures, they really don't do justice, the fish was much bigger looking in person. Personnal best for me anyways.
