coralee Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 4 for 4 on a beautiful day. 1 steelie in the river on the way out, 1 more in 50' and 2 nice Lakers released unharmed. I wish I would have seen it on the way out but around 50 the lake turned cloudy and you couldn't see a lure 2' away. Hit 1 laker in 50 on the way out and hit the other laker and steelie there on the way in just in the clean water. Got a feeling the fish can't see nothin out in the cloud and should have stayed in 50' but it was a great day.
Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Nice, you're making me hungry....lol. And jealous too.
westwind Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 This time of year the lake can be really cloudy. Here is a link that can give you an idea of where the clear water is. This image shows exactly where your cloudy water startedhttp://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/modis.cgi/modis?region=m&page=1&template=subℑ=t1.12312.1627.LakeMichigan.143.250m.jpg
coralee Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 That link shows it perfect as you could see it angle out to the north.
GLF Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 There is a link in the upper navbar with a link to the satellite images of the lakes.
Blackhawk Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 that is very cool. Is it turn over silt? what makes it cloudy?
GLF Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 that is very cool. Is it turn over silt? what makes it cloudy?A storm like what came through last week will make it be cloudy. Run off from a hard rain will also enlarge the plume.
