Two major factors are said to account for that -- weather and dredging operations in the St. Clair River, the primary outflow of the two great lakes.More... Notes that Michigan/Huron are down 2 ft, and that the water must be going to Erie and over Niagara Falls because of teh St. Clair / Detroit river Dredging. But didn't look at where Lake Erie's water level was (it is down) and what the flow rate over Niagara Falls compared to its' historical rates (which are known).
