Sturgeon Bay ship canal

Just thought I'd let some of you know, went to troll for some pike in the canal and ended up hooking into some nice four year kings staging. Caught them on deep diving husky jerks. Saw some others being caught by some boats. Marked a lot of fish too.

No pike that trip, but I had a buddy go fish the exact same area we were a few days prior, and they ended up with 7 pike. Mostly 28-34inches, but did get one at 41".

I'm going to try and get up there again this week for both salmon and pike again. Heard some browns were being caught too.

Well, no pike again this trip, but did end up with 3 salmon. Got 2 on a size 3 j-plug (green holographic color) and the other on a moonshine hot lips spoon.

Few other boats out trolling along with some perch fishermen as well.

They were surfacing all over the place. Also they turned on the pumps for the Stawberry Creek fish rearing station.
