bollie27 Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Not sure how many people airbrush their own baits. I use them for browns and walleye in the spring and for fall salmon outside the pier heads. I'll be posting a few new paint schemes and some glow patterns that I have done and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask away.
Nailer Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Brian, I do not paint them myself, but have had CJ Baker paint some for me with great results. It would be interesting to see your Walleye paint schemes.
bollie27 Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 I'll get some posted in the next couple days here. Pretty excited for some of my newer ones too.
Cork Dust Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Brian painted several thin-fins and hot n tots for me. They came back perfect! Brian, I am trying to pick up three magnum hot n tots. Can you do mettalics? I am looking for a copper, metallic lavender, and chartruese.
bollie27 Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 Thanks Rick, hope they are working out for you.Yes I can do mettalics! send em my way and i'll get em painted!
Cork Dust Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Purchase finalized. I will be contacting you to work out shipping, cost, turn around, etc. Thanks!
bollie27 Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Sounds good Rick, just finished remodeling my basement, so I'm ready to start painting again.
BlueCollarOutdoors Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Please don't use them, they are terrible baits and I don't see how they would ever fool a fish. Except for these which were obviously not very intelligent! http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i351/bluecollaroutdoors/100_0209.jpg"] http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i351/bluecollaroutdoors/IMG_008666666.jpg"] http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i351/bluecollaroutdoors/IMG_0083.jpg"]
Priority1 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 It's not really necessary to airbrush them. The fish don't give a rip about runs, drips, or errors. The pretty paint jobs are to catch fishermen. JMO

I can't see your pics tho, computer is not letting me see them.
bollie27 Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 finally got some time to get some crankbaits done, should be able to start painting on a regular basis once deer hunting is over...hopefully I can get out to try these on some fall night time walleye.
RedRider Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 The one in the middle/bottom pic gets my vote. I would buy a couple .
bollie27 Posted November 11, 2012 Author Posted November 11, 2012 Thanks guys!! I actually get a lot of my ideas from salmon spoons, I like the color patterns. Something different that maybe the fish will react better to.RedRider, once I start up painting more in a couple weeks, I'll shoot you a message, maybe we can work something out. That one is the new #9 flicker shad.
bollie27 Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 Made a lure for my brother in law...his name is Mike but we all call him Spike, so i put his name into the paint scheme of the lure, plus he likes musky fishing, so i got to use a decent sized crankbait.
bollie27 Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 here's some new ones, got some more drying on the rack now too.
Splillway Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Brian,I have a painting project for you if interested. http://www.bulletbobber.com/lumaclbo.html
bollie27 Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 Spillway- nice, looked into it and i might give it a shot. Be cool to post some pics on their site catching some fish with it and to be custom painted as well.
