20 cities in the Great Lakes watershed have `appalling' record, study finds

Toronto ranks in the middle of the pack in a study that declares Great Lakes cities have an "appalling" record of handling their sewage.

The city scored a mark of C in the assessment of 20 Canadian and U.S. urban centres, a report to be released today by the environment group, Sierra Legal.
