Nailer
Steve and Jon jouned me this morning out of Muskegon. We set up in 85 fow and went on a NW troll. There was a lot of bait in 100+', but we could not find any Salmon. We got our first fish when we hit 220 fow. We worked that water and out to 270 fow, running paddles, and spindoctors. Had the riggers down 135-145, low divers back 250-300, Out divers back 300-400'. We ended the day going 15/20 with 13 kings 1 coho, and 1 laker. The white paddle with a Big Weenie poofster took at least 7-8 hits. A white paddle w/uv tape and poofster fly took fish also. We had 2-300 45# coppers out with Ace Hi plugs, but they never got touched. The fish are way out, and down deep. Loads of warm water, with no break in tight. The temp only changed 5 deg. from top to 100 feet down, then started dropping. The way this week looks, that warm water just may stay there all week.
