GLF Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Those seeking yellow perch, walleye and northern pike are fishing in the early mornings and towards evening. Walleye were taken on tip-ups with minnows when jigging in 10 to 25 feet of water. Northern pike which have been a little more active this week are hitting on tip-ups with sucker minnows or when jigging large spoons with minnows in 8 to 15 feet of water. Yellow perch are biting, but the fish are running small. Warmer weather is producing more slush.
