Those seeking yellow perch, walleye and northern pike are fishing in the early mornings and towards evening. Walleye were taken on tip-ups with minnows when jigging in 10 to 25 feet of water. Northern pike which have been a little more active this week are hitting on tip-ups with sucker minnows or when jigging large spoons with minnows in 8 to 15 feet of water. Yellow perch are biting, but the fish are running small. Warmer weather is producing more slush.
