cliftp Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 My wife and I went back to St. Joe today looking for perch. Went north by the clay banks and hunted for awhile with no success. Took a ride out to 60 feet, still north of the piers and caught one measuring 9 inches. Went into the pack, still north and didn't get touched. Didn't see anyone else either, so went in front of the water treatment plant and got 6 more that looked like keepers, but got pretty small when cleaning them. Hope the big ones come back.Paul C.
Fishsporttom Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Got two man limit of 8-13 inch perch just north of dunes in 51-52 fow no gobies. Saw many steelhead caught in 30 fow. Water started out at 54' then rose to 62'. Caught majority of jumbos when water was 57-58'. Minnows were the ticket.
Horseshoe Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Friend of mine was out yesterday afternoon out of St. Joe. Him and a friend went north and tried several spots with no luck. A few small ones was all they were able to find in three hours of fishing.
Far Beyond Driven Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 "that looked like keepers, but got pretty small when cleaning them"That's funny, because it's true.....
