Hooked Up Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Looked like a lot of boats fishing right outside the pier head this morning and yesterday morning...did you try that near sunset at all? Thanks for the report!!
Hotdog71 Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 Didn't try it do to 2 ships entering/leaving port yesterday. Also we pulled lines and were in the channel before the sun hit the water. We saw the boats fishing shallow but as we came through the area there was nothing that jumped off the screen saying they were going to be shallow. I later heard that 2 were caught between the arms but the bite was not fantastic. Personally, I'm glad we went deeper.
Hooked Up Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Yeah, no sense in trying to manuever around the ships, let alone early "combat" fishing!! Heading out tonight, and thinking we'll head deeper first, and in later depending on how we're doing! Thanks again!!
