Oakley Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Got out this morning around 5:30. Set up in 70 FOW and trolled west. No bites until reaching 100 FOW just north of the net that is straight out from the channel. 10# king on a full core with a green frog spinnie and seaweed fly. Other than that I struck out. Today seemed to be the day for things breaking on the boat and for losing tackle. The silver lining was that the waves layed down as the morning went on. At least the ride got nicer. Seemed like a few guys reported doing OK in 60-80 FOW early on, then out at 160 later towards 11am.
rwm Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 thanks Oakley, From a couple guys I talked to sounds like it was slow today,I plan on giving it a go in the morning.
