Nailer Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 (edited) I took Jim, and Keith out tonight. both are new to this, but love the salmon. we set up in 90 fow on a NW troll, and started seeing fish after 130 fow. Our best action was in 130-140 fow anywhere from 70-120 down. Blue Line Silver Streak, and Blue Dolphin on the riggers, and My Big white paddle, and Big Weenie Poofster did the most dammage. Riggers set at 85-110 down, and divers set to run just below them. We ended the night a dismal 11 of 23. A bunch of the fish would be on for just a few shakes, then off. The highlight of the night was after the sun set and, we had made it back to %50 when 5 rods went off at once. ( I think we only got 2 of them in) The guys had a blast. Good luck if you go this weekend. Edited July 7, 2012 by Nailer
CAC Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Thanks Ken. This past week I have also had an unusual poor ratio. They must not be striking hard enough or something. You got a nice mess of fish there!
Grant Sadler Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Ken, you guys are driving me nuts with these reports I live on the wrong side of the state.
Nailer Posted July 7, 2012 Author Posted July 7, 2012 Ken, you guys are driving me nuts with these reports I live on the wrong side of the state. Get over here, the fishing is easy rite now.
mriversinco Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Nice job Ken. I think I cleaned fish right across from you last night.
Hooked Up Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Well done Ken & crew! I bet the flies were still hungry too! Sounds like the fish are a little deeper than early in the week.
Just Hook'n Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Very nicely done Kenny. Our ratios were a little better late this week, but we were hauling the mail. I think the fish were moving pretty fast this week and may have been swimming past stuff and missing it a lot.
jimbobber Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 nice job Ken , we had a few of those to then we got a couple of 5 lb cohos i wonder if thats whats happenin cohos are slappin at the baits.
