Special K Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Quick question for all the meat heads out there. I've ran meat before but only the strips. A buddy gave me some alewives he caught off the pier, I put them in the borax/kosher salt brine. My question is how should I run these? Just pin the alewive and go? Or cut the head off and clean out the entrails then pin em like on John Kings website?
fishy1 Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 As long as they fit in the bait head you can run them whole you just have to tune them to get the correct roll.
jphelps Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I agree! I have always used them whole and have had equal results compared to the strips!
Special K Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Thanks great video! Anybody use the firebrine?
ghfisherman Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 a question when you guys are done fishing the baits that you have used do you put them back in your brine or just keep them in a plastic zip lok bag
steeliefreak Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 We have been running the alewive whole brined with the fire brine and they have been working good.
