My girlfriend and I will be camping at the state park in Harrisville this week and I am bringing my boat up to try for some feeesh. Haven't fished harrisville since I was a kid and the salmon were still there in full force. Any hints or tips would be really appreciated. Gonna run a small spread of 2 downriggers and two dipsy divers.

Thanks in advance.

Went out yesterday morning and had one rip pn dipsy in 90the ft of water. Going out again to try it now. I was the only trailer in huge beautiful dnr launch.

Ran out to 113 ft this morning and caught a nice king right off bat. Then ran out if gas. Coast gaurd had to rescue us. Boat gauge showed lots of gas, so guess i cant rely on that. Awesome cg crew came from tawas and towed us in 6.2 miles. Good thing they r around, because no boats were around.

Pic of fish will be in gallery tomorrow.

The area and dnr launch are second to none. No idea why more are not taking advantage. I talked to a dnr officer last night for about an hour. He is on some lake trout commitee and said they netted some monster fish up there. The biggest being a 59lb laker.

Yea, there are some monsters in the refuge.

Only problem is, you can't fish inside of the refuge, and its one heck of a run to get to the edge!
