jeffdeppe87 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Got a late start yesterday morning. Went straight out from the peir to 85FOW. only put 4 poles in the water on mono line. trolled south west to 140FOW circled back at 130FOW got our 1 and only hit. Nice 15lbs king, hit on watermelon line down 85'. The weather was great so going 1 for 1 wasnt to bad. I am very new to big lake fishing. Any advice feel free to send it my way.

King Salmon 1 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Welcome Jeff, nice job on the King - your hooked !! This is a great site, everyone does nice job sharing information.
CAC Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Welcome aboard Jeff! In addition to posting your questions, search the site for info on downriggers, dipseys, lead core, copper, rods, reels, speed, boat and motor maintenance and anything else you can think of. So much to learn and so little time!
chandler Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 If you fish out of Holland you should really consider a 300 copper. I fish between Holland and Port Sheldon and the 300 copper takes at least one fish home a trip. A bloody nose is my favorite lure to run on it.
