numberguy77 Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Managed to pick up a nice 13# female King in 150fow on a Blue Thunder spoon off a free slider on a rigger set at 50' down.Marked quite a few fish from 130-160fow, but that was the only taker.Nice, flat night out there last night.
Oakley Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Sorry to reply to your post on two websites, just want to share the information. We got a little luckier and ended up 3 for 4 last night. First fish was before sundown in 135 FOW on a blue dolphin slider that was probably running about 50 feet down. It was a smaller, 6# king.We rummaged around between 135 and 150 for a while marking lots of baitfish but not getting any bites. 1/2 hour after sunset in 145 FOW we had a full core go off, then about 15 seconds later a half core on the other side of the boat went off, while we were fighting those two, the rigger with silver dodger and blue dolphin spoon set down 90 feet went off. It was crazy while the fish made runs and crossed lines. We ended up getting the first two fish in but then the third came unbuttoned right behind the boat. Those two fish were 11# and 14#.
