Got an early start, on the water at 5:45 a.m --pretty lonely out there - no other boats!...started in 80 fow had the first hit while setting the 2nd rigger

Went 3-3

15# King Rigger 25' down 80 fow DW High Adventure Hit Man

8# Steelie Orange Moonshine 125 back on braid diver (hit while I was holding it! Third rod getting set up)

8# Coho 1/2 core 100 fow Blue Dolphin Nitro spoon

Fished til 9:15 or so, could've quit after 7:15 -- went from 80' to 150' best seemed to be north of the pier, although everyone else was south....didn't mark much other than bait fish!!

Thanks to Treblemaker for the advice on colors/depth!

I am new to the site but would like to add some observations. My two buddies and i have found that there is a decent bite after noon. We fish at least twice a week. Although we are not catching a limit at that time we have caught five to ten nice kings the last three times out including thurs., and friday. Fishing out of st joe. Thursday all three and four year olds during that time period mostly on spin doctors and flys. We have also started early with a short window of catch until pm. Hope this helps. Jim
