mriversinco Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 My new to me boat came with some cannon riggers. 2 mag 10's and 2 digitroll II. They seem to be really slow (even slower than I thought their age should be) and 2 of them actually flipped the circuit a few times. I heard that cannons have a lifetime warranty on their motors. Does anyone know if that's correct?
sherman51 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 im not sure about this but i think that is for the 1st owner.sherman
sjk984 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 we had to change the breakers on our DT 2 a few years ago. Cheap and easy to do you don't have to split the case. Haven't had the breaker trip since. . As far as speed I never really took note. I know that if I clear a line and hit auto up the ball is up before the rods is in from 80'
Priority1 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Cannon changed hands awhile back. Before the change most any parts were covered. After the change older riggers were not covered and even some older parts became unavailable.
Richard Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 The warranty was noted to be fore the original owner but like said that was before the change of hands of the company. Some of the older stuff is no longer availible. Fish307.com has a pritty good selection of parts. The older models were slow but it does not bother me. Like stated above I hit the switch right after netting the fish and the weight is there when ready to reset the rod.
ChampionShip Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 If they're not the HS models, then yeah, they're pretty slow. Maybe a wire upgrade would help solve that problem. Cheap insurance anyway.
