fishmunkee Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Friday was tough with the waves building. Ended up with 1 laker, 2 salmon and big walleye that had to be released. Thinfins were baits hit. Saturday AM was calmer but it took us 2 hours to find the fish but then we filled our 2 man limit in less than 2 hours. 6 salmon, 4 lakers. Mag green apple spoons (riggers - 12 or 18 ft down/50 back and slide diver -3 set/36 out and 40 ft back) and a storm jointed deep minnowstick in UV orange did most of the work. Sunday was wet and rainy. We scratched out 6 with same program as Sat. before we had enough. 2 laker, 2 salmon and 1 brown.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Nice bag for superior Tim:thumb: You guys working the mud lines in shallow water?
fishmunkee Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 We stayed in less than 40 fow and worked the river plume on Sat and Sunday after we had tried in tight first thing in the morning but had no luck to the east. Friday we worked west staying between 12 - 20 fow while a friend's boat worked closer to the beach having about the same luck as us.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Great place to fish this time of year. Thanks for the update Tim:thumb:
