Lower Unit Leaking Fluid

Wondering what you all think could be causing this leaking of lower unit lubricant. It did not do it last year. (I have a picture but can't figure out how to attach it to this)

pull the prop check for fishing line on the prop shaft

DO NOT REMOVE FISHING LINE FROM PROP SHAFT WITH OUT REMOVING PROP

ALL WAYS PULL LINE OFF PARALLEL WITH SHAFT STRAIGHT AFT

ITS USUALLY THE PROP SHAFT OR THE SHIFT ROD SEAL LEAKING

I agree with frank prop shaft or shifting shaft is my best bet easy fit if cought right away.

you didnd say where the grease was, so im just throwing this in as an after thought to what youve been told. but sometimes the little screws where you put the grease in and the one to check the fluid level will leak. make sure you have the little tefflon washers on them if the prop shaft seal isnt the problem.
