King Salmon 1 Posted April 29, 2012 Share Posted April 29, 2012 Sill great fishing in GH - 8 am-noon, 10 for 13, 7 Kings, 2 Cohos, 1 Laker. Trolled East-West 150-200 fow, best was 175/180 on West troll. 4 fish on riggers down 100 & 125 white paddles 8 & 11" with white UV flies, ran 75,225, & 300 copper no hits pulled and ran 450 & 600 copper took 6 fish, 3 on each, mag bloody nose stinger on the 450 and Moonshine bloody nose on the 600 (5 big Kings & 1 Laker). King Salmon 1 Posted April 30, 2012 Author Share Posted April 30, 2012 Yes it makes the 450 a piece of cake to bring in. It does catch fish and we only run it when we are away from any boats. My buddy had an arm that looked like Popeyes yesterday when he brought in the 6 fish on the 450 & 600 as I laughed and netted. (It was his idea to run it). We had a couple 12 & 15 # Kings on it that almost ripped it out of the rod holder - you feel every move the fish makes with the copper and only 25 ft of leader.
