EdB Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Got a later start, set rods around 9:30am, couldn'nt get all the rods down. Hit about 17, got our limit by 11:30am. We fished 125ft to 150ft of water from the 12's back to the 08's. 70 to 90 ft down was best. All a green spoon bite. Wire mag lo divers out 150 to 180ft. 300ft 45lb copper. Good luck! Pic of our spoons/fish are in my gallery.
tltorrice Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 (edited) Nice Job Ed, thanks for the report. Why are their tails cut off? Edited April 28, 2012 by tltorrice Tail question
EdB Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 We had the feds check our fish at the dock. US Fish and Wildlife biologists. They weighed, measured, took scales and the tails. Voluntary on our part. First time I've seen them at the docks.
trail11591 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Good to hear!! An one out on the water today??
Priority1 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Ed, I told the Feds you were looking fishy. Fantastic fishing.

EdB Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 Wish I could have stayed till today. The US Fish and Wildlife biologists collecting data from us at St Joe on Friday. They took scale samples, weight, length and the tails from our kings to check if they were stocked or reproduced naturally. First time I've met the Feds working at the docks. Our fish got a bit shorter after they were done.
coralee Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Good job Ed and thanks for putting us on the fish when it settled down a bit.
