fisf crazy Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 just looking for some thoughts on why the fish are so deep so early when the surface temp is so cold yet close to shore i have my own thoughts just wanting to see what others think
ekbelt Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 I think it has to do with where the bait is... who knows, maybe the fish are there every year? Who would have thought to go out 10 miles in March fishing any other year?? I know I'm going to try it next year again!
jimbobber Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 ya what erik said ^^^^^ its a weird year thats for sure normally we would just be getting on the lake and would still have lots of junk and maybe even ice to watch out for.
Crowhunter Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 They may have been out there every year I have never thought to fish out that far before the water warms up.Bud
sherman51 Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 you just never know. they have got to be somewhere. i bet alot more guys find out next year,LOL.sherman
fisf crazy Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 i agree just curious as to why the bait fish are not in close in a littlle warmer water the beach is at 42 i would think they would be around but one thing i have learned with fishing for over 30 years is that the fish always teach you somthing new just when you think you got them figured out
