BRIAN0214 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 First trip out. 5 for 8. 3 small coho, 1 4 lb coho and a 15lb king. Started at 4 p.m finished at 7 p.m. Started at 125 and worked out to 225. 5 Rod Spread. Spread consisted of 8 color lead core with Hello Darlin. 5 color core with Carmel dolphin. 2.5 setting on green walker diver 160 back with green white spin DR with green fly. Chrome walker diver set on 0 220 back with green dolphin. Green walker diver 2.5 setting 180 back with Mountain dew 11" paddle with yellow fly. Caught 2 small coho's on the lead cores could not get on a hit on the flies I replaced flies with another green dolphin and the spin DR with a blue dolphin with a 00 chrome dodger in front of it. All rods took fish except for the blue dolphine with dodger in front. I just thought I would try running a spoon with a dodger. I guess thats why most people run the spoons clean. Caught the 15 lb king on the chrome walker diver with the green dolphin. First time using a chrome walker diver. Great night on the water.
Just Hook'n Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Nice job Brian. I don't often mess with spoons on dipseys either, but I see a lot of reports with guys catching fish that way. Not sure why it works, but if it works . . . .
