i might be the odd man out here. i fish mostly for walleye tho. but i believe the divers at like attractors just like anything elce you put in front of your bait. i like to spice it up alittle. i like chrome green with my green lures and chrome purple with my purple. then i like black with anything. i have no proof that this makes any difference at all, its just my opinion. if it raises my confidence then i would say its working for me,LOL. the question is what do you think??

It does matter and probably more than we would like it to. There have been days where chrome or glow divers have out performed others. Because they are so close to the money end they will act like an attractor or the complete opposite. Sunny days i may run chrome divers and on days when glow is the ticket I may run glow divers but for the most part I run black divers. It probably works out to be 98% of the time. My thoughts on running black divers is i believe it takes the color out of the equation. It provides "stealth" to your non stealthy set up and fish spend less time paying attention to it and more on whats at the end of it. In the end we spend less time trying to come up with a diver and lure combo that should be spent on just the lure itself.

I usually use clear or white. When I have to, I will throw what ever colors I have out and have never noticed a noticible difference.

They matter to me. Only because green goes out the port side and chrome goes out the starboard side. Not a good feeling when you realize that someone put out 185 feet of line on the #3 setting set-up on the wrong side of the boat.

I wouldn't care what color you gave me as long as everyone knows which color goes out what side.

I'm sure it maters, I mean its in the water 10' ahead of whatever bait you are running. However, I don't have the money or time to experiment with different colors to match the different conditions each time I'm out. I run clear divers on my wire and chrome on my braid and both have produced well enough that i don't see the need to change.

I'm on the side where I don't think it matters. I run White on one side and Purple on the other (for both high and low). If nothing else, it keeps me from putting them out the wrong side.

I run clear on my wires and I will be running orange when we fish for CoHO , other then that chrome for the browns .
