adrenalin Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 First light is great for fast action but I catch alot of small aggressive fish at first light. My best time for big kings is 9:30 -11:00 am. Let's hear from everyone else.
Twill23 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Most of all BIG kings come after 9. Numbers always seem to come before!
mriversinco Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 I seem to catch the bigger kinds an hour before dark.

Priority1 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Just about the time we should be pulling lines to make weigh in.

Flyboy Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 For those of you who's best times are from 9-11am, what do your later morning spreads look like? There are days where we really struggle to catch fish at this time.

There are days where we really struggle to catch fish at this time.I'm with ya there, I struggle to get fish after the sun comes up. Before, no problem. Evening and dusk are my best times by far. But I'd rather get the big ones mid morning if I had a choice...
Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I think too many factors play into the equation to pinpoint that: time of year, conditions at sea, temp. of water, currents below, sea fleas, bait fish, and others. Biggest fish usually come late summer/early fall, based on that alone, first light like 5-8am for me. Nite bite has been pretty good too over the years.
mattmishler Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Meat, meat, meat and meat after the sun comes up when there's big kings around
