jimcr Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 yeah its hard to miss the main gap light house , I have heard that it might be for sale, it has amenities for 7 people . Parking might be a little difficult on windy days. when its foggy you might get a headache too.
Mushy's Dad Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 Just imagine if you had a few too many one night the first step off the pier would be a hell of a suprise!
jimcr Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 have you seen any of the videos of the waves crashing into and over that light house? be hell trying to get into the boat. I would like to stay there for a week though, as long as I had a safe place for my boat .
Mushy's Dad Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 have you seen any of the videos of the waves crashing into and over that light house? be hell trying to get into the boat. I would like to stay there for a week though, as long as I had a safe place for my boat .I have not seen any of the videos. send or post link of that. That would be wild to stay out there when a big storm rolled through.
jimcr Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 The first part of the video was shot inside the harbor, the latter was out side. If your familiar with Milwaukee they left out the South Gap to avoid the waves.
Mushy's Dad Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Jim,Thanks for the link. That looks down right nasty. I have fished out of MLK a few times with my cousin. Correct me if I am wrong here but I am fairly certain that you cannot see over the sea walls, they are 7 or 8' feet out of the water. The waves were just rolling right over them. nice clip!
jimcr Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 most of the sea walls are 6-8 feet , some are really wide too.If your in Milwaukee let me know , like to meet the Mushy's Dad
Mushy's Dad Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Can do! Always nice to put a face with the name.Pretty sure I will be down there once or twice when the HOs move in.
