Nailer
My old boat was Crestliner 18'. Crestliner boats are extremely solid boats.

ericjeeper
crestliner Nordic. walk around with cuddy.. Just bought it in November, Repainted it. I have never even had it wet yet.. Actually never have heard it run... But it seems to be a very well built boat. Mine has a 3.8 v6 with carb and efi. I know me and the wife are going to love it,
DDFOE
Hi I just bought a 94' sabre 245 it has the Merc Alpha One 4.3 L LX drive in it. The guy who owned it had passed away and his son sold the boat. The question I have is about the power trim/tilt, the control for it is on the shift lever and it works fine in the trim range but stops at full trim up position, that uses about 2-3" inches of the rams travel. How do I get it to tilt up for trailering? I have Volvo aq drive in my old boat and it has an additional switch you have to press along with the trim up switch. I can't find any such switch on this setup. Anybody got any idea?
mriversinco
On my Eagle, there's two trim motors. Both are on the same switch on the shift lever. There's a fine tune trim for when it's down. About half way up it switches to the other trim which is a completely different motor and hydraulic cylinder but it does this automatically as I push the button. My guess you have a bad pump, or electrics to that pump from your switch. Look to see if there's another setup on the lower unit. If so, check to see if you get electricity to it when your fine tune tilt is all the way up. DDFOE
I will check that out in the morning. Do you think Crestliner would be able to supply me a schematic for this boat? It sure would help. Thanks
Special K
I have a 1990 sabre with a 4.3 merc alpha 1 and my set up has a switch on the shifter handle to trim out your ride and a switch on the base of the shifted handle that says "trailer" that will take it up the rest of the way. DDFOE
This boat has the commander 3000 series control, the book shows a separate remote mounted trailer toggle switch but I'll be darned if I can find it.
DDFOE
Hi just wanted to say thanks the switch was on the lower corner of the shifter base it blends right in with the cover. It all works great!
