buster107 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I live in Grand Rapids and can not find galic tuna fish!!!!
Mushy's Dad Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I use the cheapest can of tuna packed in oil and 2 big teaspoons for chopped garlic. I use the pre-chopped garlic in oil. You can find it in the produce area!
Salmon Assassin Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Walmart Super Centers sell it around here, once the season gets closer, I can mail you some cans if you wish. It's $1.37 plus tax a can and shipping would only be about 6 bucks.
anthonyyost Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Last summer I packed some precut herring strips in tuna with some cloves of garlic in it. It seemed not to do as well (as in nothing) compared to just running the salted herring strips. How do you guys do with the tuna mix?
buster107 Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 I was thinking for brads cut bait rigs. I tried meat four years ago and didn't like it because of lack of knowing what I was doing. I'm going to try it again this year. I heard that coho like the brads and would like to run them this spring. Size and color I would like to know but money is little tight. I will ask later for that.
Priority1 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I don't use the garlic scent myself but know of anglers that use the garlic powder. A lil bit of this goes along way. It's available in the spice section of super markets or even some dollar stores.
