JWheeler Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 What a nuthouse. It was worse than Ludington or Manistee on a busy day. The girls picked out a handful of soon to be hot lures and I picked up a new chartplotter with a free chip thrown in the deal, so no more flying blind at night. Did shake Dirty Dog & FishSniffer's hands today, nice to meet ya fellas.
Priority1 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 J Dog, I wish I could have been there to handle the introductions. Don, Terry, and Jason are three of a kind that a full house couldn't beat.
fishsniffer Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Good to meet you Jason. It got crazy there for a while for sure. And frank, we are definatly a bunch of cards
DIRTY DOG Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Nice to meet you also Jason, and you are right on the money, it was so crazy around there that we could not get away to look around for our selves till after 5 pm.
FsnMachine Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 We where there for a while. Too busy for me. Couldn't even get in to some of the tackle booths so decide if I wanted more spoons it would be easier to shop online at home and have them shipped. Got some gear grabbers for holding lures and spoons at the back of the boat. Will make for quick chang overs etc.

FsnMachine Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Orval, How are the border crossings??They have been quiet lately. No problem Sat. getting there and back. We crossed at Port Huron and then south to Novi.
Turfwrench Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Madhouse indeed! Was down there Saturday as well, was not bad when it opened but by 1 pm I had all I could take of the crowd. Reminded me of shopping on Xmas eve. I did end up getting one of the powder coat spray kits and some paints, yep works almost as easy as demonstrated at the show as I got to experiment a bit with it today. I guess what sold me on the unit was when he bent a spoon several times almost to the breaking point and the paint never peeled or cracked.
Building C's Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I heard Traxstech was introducing some new riggers. Anyone check them out?
Priority1 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 What about pricing on riggers and rod holders? I heard some companies have raised their prices this year. Has anyone notice this at the shows?
melsell Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Traxtech made some improvements on the rigger for sure. 900 bucks. Big Jon raised prices 25 percent
